Dual Success: Celebrating Two Recent Engineering Master’s Graduates

We are delighted to announce that two of our students from the scientific club have successfully earned their Master’s degrees with honors, scoring 5.0! 💚🖤❤️ Congratulations to them, and we wish them continued success in their academic and professional endeavors. Here are their thesis papers:

🎓 the president of our SC, Eng Magdalena Kocurek: „Development, construction and implementation of a system for uniaxial tensile testing”

As part of her master’s thesis, Magdalena built a self-designed tensile machine and a video extensometer. She designed and printed using 3D printing technology the mounting elements for the tested specimens. She implemented software to control the device and designed a user interface that allows control over key stretching parameters and monitor the examination in real time. The application allows you to export test results to the cloud and generate summary test reports, which greatly facilitates collaboration on the results of testing the mechanical properties of materials.
After completing the project, the necessary static tensile tests were carried out on zinc, PLA and the Sn60Pb40 alloy. The tests confirmed that all assumptions regarding the created system were implemented as expected, allowing the stretching process to be carried out properly.

🎓 Eng Karolina Jop: „Construction and software implementation of a wind turbine based on a microprocessor controller”

In Karolina’s thesis, she designed and fabricated a charge controller for a self-made low-speed wind turbine. The system enables control of the charging process for electrical devices, efficient power conversion using the MPPT algorithm, and monitoring of the entire charging process. The resulting solution is distinguished by the use of a cloud environment for visualization of results and the ability to connect different sources of electricity (e.g., photovoltaic panels), thus enabling the made regulator to be used in hybrid power generation systems.

Once again, we congratulate our talented students and thank them for representing our scientific club! 👏👏👏
